THE KISS - CAN A DOG REALLY SAY "THANK YOU" ? - I think this story sums that up........

 The KISS

She is pregnant, he had just saved her from
a fire in her house, rescuing her by carrying

her out of the house into her front yard,
while he continued to fight the fire.

When he finally got done putting the fire out,

he sat down to catch his breath and rest.

A photographer from the Charlotte , North Carolina

newspaper, noticed her in the distance looking at the fireman

He saw her walking straight toward the fireman

and wondered what she was going to do.

As he raised his camera, she came up to the
 tired man

who had saved her life and the lives of her unborn babies and

kissed him just as the photographer snapped this photograph.

And people say animals are DUMB  !!!

The KISS .....

As they say – YOU have never known LOVE till  you have loved an animal and received that love back in unconditional, abundance………….

About 8 years ago, I myself had an experience where a dog said THANK YOU as only dogs can.

We did rescue work, and an unwanted Golden Cocker Spaniel was brought to us. She was still a young dog, but for some unknown reason, she had mammary cancer. Not common, but we had seen it in the past in rescue. Our experience of our own at that time was with a maltese, we decided to adopt from an animal shelter, where we were doing voluntary work. She was middle aged, and she was put in for spaying, and when we went to collect her, she had not been sterilised, but given 4 months max to live. We took AMY home. At a prayer meeting a week later, I took Amy with me, and Amy was prayed for.  Shortly thereafter, we spayed Amy and all the mammary tumours were removed.  Amy died three years ago, 6 years after she was given 4 months to live.

Back to the Spaniel. We spayed her – Tammy was her name, and again had all the mammary tumours removed, she was with us a good few months and we loved her dearly. She had such a zest for life.

One day we were contacted by Missionaries who wanted a special dog, they had left their Spaniel in America, shortly before leaving there to come to SA and do missionary work.  They wanted a Spaniel. The only one I had was Tammy. I told them of her problems so far, but also mentioned that being spayed and having no more hormones motivating the mammary cancer to reappear, she appeared cured. They asked if they could visit us and meet Tammy. They came along, four children, two parents in a Kombi vehicle.   They were delighted with Tammy and her with them, she loved the children. They would adopt her, and as they were all saying their goodbyes and calling Tammy into the vehicle – Tammy jumped in and all of a sudden, jumped out and ran straight to me, jumping up and down excitedly.  I picked her up and I too got THE KISS, I then put her down, and she ran happily and jumped into the vehicle and off they drove, a once again, complete happy family unit.  I know exactly how that FIREMAN felt, receiving the kiss, it makes you realise, that dogs are most certainly not dumb but highly intelligent. Tammy was very thankful, and showed it. To this day, just thinking of her and HER KISS brings tears to my eyes.
