A worthwhile read should you be contemplating buying the GENUINE TEACUP pup….
UPDATED………… 10 October 2024
AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE READ ON…..
IT has become an everyday occurrence to get enquiries for a teacup pup.
The MOUSE sized pup and ultimate adult dog is NOT for the majority of people out there, no matter how they try and convince themselves it is. I get told we can afford to buy a teacup will pay double for one if necessary, but that is not the point here. THE POINT is simple, the GENUINE teacup pup, is suited to very few people.
UPDATE below read on:
Public read this is you are set on buying yourself a teacup pup and by that I mean the GENUINE TEACUP not a pup labelled a teacup that is not a teacup.
I was asked which organization I could advise this person to contact to get names of responsible, breeders of the teacup Yorkshire terrier.
My reply of course was simple enough NO SUCH ORGANISATION EXISTS.
Explanation, and it is very clear to me that the public a lot of the public are totally unaware of what the teacup dog is, what it entails to own one and to be assured if you buy one that it is a healthy pup that will be with you for many years to come.
I get plenty of people contacting me and they find it somewhat amazing what I tell them to what they have been told.
It goes something along these lines:
My version a teacup pup is something that MAY and I mean "MAY" arrive in a normal litter of pups born from normal breeding sized dogs. They are never availale in numbers and no such thing exists as a teacup litter of pups.
OTHER VERSIONS are as follows:
OH I can offer you a few teacup pups, I have whatever, 3 4 or 5 right now for sale ??????
OH I have a litter of teacups here PARENTS BOTH TEACUPS pups guaranteed to be all teacups????????????????????????????
INTERESTING to say the least and not to mention that a couple of breeders out there are GUILTY of selling underaged pups to the public who are under the impression they are teacup sized pups????????????
Sad but very true not a nice thing to do to the pup or the person concerned.
It is a known fact that all pups irrespective of their size, their breed need their dog mothers for a good period of time in their life. However to sell pups that are very underaged to the public that have no idea on how to raise, or what they have just been forced into doing, is nothing short of DISGUSTING. To score a quick buck pups are sold that have precious little chance of surviving???? In fact i am not aware of the first of these pups surving although been at a vet every other day and it is not easy to hand raise a puppy to begin with, it may be a walk in the park for some BUT for the majority of people it is a nightmare. The pup has to be kept at a constant temperature failing that DEAD PUP.
It is very obvious why this is done QUICK BUCK, because the price they charge is nowhere near the going price on the real deal, a genuine teacup pup. So listen up out there if you are offered a TEACUP????? pup at a low price be on your guard. Low price and by that I mean anything up to 6k and possibly more. The cost of the teacup pup is pretty high and it is not because i as the breeder am making a fat fortune, far from the fact, it is simply because of teh amount of work involved in raising that size of pup NOTHING ELSE, and we then get some peple who have never owned a small dog let alone a teacup dog that think MONEY is everything and they can lay down the law - SORRY this is about a dog NOT YOU, this is about a life - NOT YOURS.
Back on track, my advice to you as the VICTIM have the remains of the pup sent into a laboratory for a complete autopsy and find out the reason for the pups death. YOU may be very surprised. A laboratory will pick up on a very underaged pup for sure or a pup that is inbred that has untold health issues. I have insisted on this being done for decades and the results are always the same perfectly HEALTHY PUPPY. Sad to say this goes down with the public, who believe they know it all, say as much, then when they lose the pup even if it is three months later, when they have become complacent with owning it, they get to realise they were not that clued up after all.
OWNING the GENUINE teacup pup is very hands on a labour of love and those who get to own this amazing pup and dog are truly blessed but trust me it is not for everyone and most certainly not for a child, teenager, varsity student or someone who works out of the home. This size pup and dog normally bonds with ONE person not an entire family so realise that – the reason we place our TEACUPS in homes that we belive treat that pup/dog as a child, not that we are NUT CASES as some may think, but BECAUSE we feel we are pretty clued up with regards to the GENUINE TEACUP sized dog. Owned them for well over three decades, own them right now. NOT for breeding, as it fascinates me when someone says I want a teacup but I won’t breed with it??????????????
Anyone who would consider breeding with a teacup and I mean a genuine teacup sized dog is nothing short of INHUMANE.

A worthwhile read should you be contemplating buying the GENUINE TEACUP pup….
IT has become an everyday occurrence to get enquiries for a teacup pup. (Well for the last twenty odd years)
The MOUSE sized pup and ultimate adult dog is NOT for the majority of people out there, no matter how they try and convince themselves it is. I get told we can afford to buy a teacup will pay double for one if necessary, but that is not the point here. THE POINT is simple, the GENUINE teacup pup, is suited to very few people.
To think you have raised a kitten from birth, owned a hamster, a rabbit whatever all else, is not the same the difference is simple those animals are meant to be the size they are - the teacup pup is not meant to be mouse sized.
They can be referred to as the RUNT in the litter which I don’t believe they are, as a runt in any litter is a pup in general that does not fair well, lags behind, is often sickly, weak, whereas a healthy genuine tiny pup is anything but the above. IT thrives from the getgo. So to label it the RUNT is not the case at all. The runt in other litters usually in time catches up to litter mates may take months but often does.
Personally I believe the gene to produce the tinies is carried in the adult dogs bloodlines. To produce the ultimate tinies is not something that is done by me at MIJOY by manipulating the breeding of the tiny sized dog. I believe that is beyond RIDICULOUS and totally unfair to both the future owner and the pup/dog itself. Who would deliberately go out of their way to produce and sell pups they are well aware are COMPROMISED health wise - long term. Pups that end up living a handful of years. At the vet every other month of every other years. SO NOT ON. I sadly have come to know a good many of the public sold this sort of pup.
I thank you for your time and trust that if you are on the fence regarding owning this size of pup, you will consider all the negatives and of course the positives as to own this mouse sized angel is a life changer.
IT is of course the ultimate pup and dog if that is what you want in your life and above all else, have the lifestyle to own one.
Over a good many years we have placed this size of pup with owners who have done it all and been successful raising this size of pup, that in the majority of cases have lived well into their teenage years and so many still enjoying life both, locally and abroad. This is not a pup to be purchased as a status symbol if that is where your interest to purchase one lies, I am not the breeder for you.
Sadly the odd person who becomes complacent when owning the small sized pup or dog, can or will at some or other time HIT A PROBLEM.
Thank you for your time.

What Causes Pancreatitis?
The exact cause of pancreatitis in dogs isn’t always clear, but several factors can contribute:
- Dietary indiscretion: This is a fancy way of saying your dog ate something they shouldn’t have, like fatty scraps, human food, or even garbage.
- Certain medications or medical conditions: Some medications and illnesses can irritate the pancreas.
- Breed predisposition: Some breeds, like Yorkshire Terriers, Schnauzers, and Cocker Spaniels, seem to be more prone to pancreatitis.
- Obesity: Excess weight can put a strain on the pancreas.
Signs and Symptoms to Watch Out For
Canine pancreatitis can present itself in a variety of ways, and the severity can range from mild to life-threatening. Here are some common signs to be aware of:
Vomiting and nausea: This is often one of the first signs, and your dog may appear lethargic and disinterested in food.
- Abdominal pain: This can be difficult to detect in dogs, but they may show signs of discomfort by hunching their back, whining, or tensing their abdomen when touched.
- Diarrhoea: This can vary in consistency and may be bloody in severe cases.
- Dehydration: Loss of fluids due to vomiting and diarrhoea can lead to dehydration, making your dog lethargic and with dry gums.
- Fever: A high temperature can be a sign of infection or inflammation.
If you notice any of these signs in your dog, especially after they’ve eaten something unusual, it’s crucial to seek veterinary attention immediately. Early diagnosis and treatment are essential for a full recovery.
DID YOU KNOW???
LUXATING PATELA’S commonly known as moving kneecaps, may very well be prevented if you the owner take a few precautions. DON’T let your dog or puppy JUMP from heights. Something like allowing it to jump from your bed, this may very well encourage the knee caps to have issues. USE PET STAIRS and most owners teach their dogs to be picked up and put down, however not all pups or dogs listen.
A luxating patella is a condition in which a pet's kneecap slides out of its normal position when the knee is flexed123. It is a genetic condition that is especially common in small breed dogs12. Dogs with a luxating patella may walk or run normally, then suddenly carry a hind limb up for a few steps1. Sometimes a luxating patella can be treated with physical therapy and medication2.
TRACHEA ISSUES …. Once again this can be encouraged to develop when the owner uses a collar on their pup or dog for walks, you should use a harness. The collar adds unnecessary pressure to the trachea which can encourage an issue to develop long term.
Tracheal issues in small dogs, particularly tracheal collapse, are common. Here are some key points:
- Tracheal collapse is most common in small breed dogs.
- It can be dynamic (varying with respiration) or fixed (resulting from malformation).
- Diagnosis is based on history, physical examination, and imaging.
- Medical treatments include cough suppressants, anti-inflammatories, and antibiotics.
- Surgical treatments involve tracheal rings or intraluminal tracheal stents1.
PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE………..
Although both conditions are common in small dogs and in the YORKSHIRE TERRIER I have never had either condition in the first of my yorkies I have owned in over three decades plus… which makes sense not to allow them to jump from heights or to use a collar when out and about.

Hello
I hope you are well, this goes again about the GENUINE TEACUP PUP and ultimate adult dog.
I may very well sound like a broken record as I HARP ON AND ON about owning a teacup pup.
I mean the GENUINE teacup not a dog of 2kgs or around that weight as so many of the public believe it to be.
I am regularly contacted about availability of the teacup pup. As I have said many times before in articles on this site, I NOW ask WHAT SIZE MUST THIS PUP BE AS AN ADULT WEIGHT DOG?
This maybe somewhat of a difficult question for the man in the street to answer as most will have no idea and that would be quite normal.
However if they don’t I then proceed to enquire about their lifestyle does that MOUSE of a pup and dog suit their lifestyle?
Amazingly it suits very few folks lifestyle. They had no idea they were so hands on and so it continues.
It WONT HELP TO LIE EITHER as once you own a mouse you are stuck with it and if you don’t follow the rules and be a responsible owner in time you are going to hit a problem. This will not be as a result of the pup or dog in question having health issues it will be a problem as a result of the owner not knowing or realizing what it takes to raise a mouse of a dog.
ALL OUR PUPS ARE SOLD WITH HEALTH GUARANTEES AND if or should a problem arise, I INSIST on laboratory testing NOT what a vet thinks or believes.
THE FACT is that a GENUINE TEACUP PUP and I refer to them as such, as most of the pups advertised or marketed as TEACUPS are a far cry from the real deal.
I presume the reason for that is simply IT ATTRACTS THE PUBLIC even if they thought it would be a mouse and has ended up an elephant size. However that is not really fair as so many dogs when they end up far bigger than the person initially expected, that dog is rehomed. SAD, VERY SAD.
I guess most people stick with the dog they love it and that is that, but then you do get folk out there that want what they want and the dog MUST GO. This is not something most of us would do, but it does happen.
PLEASE realise that the genuine teacup pup is TINY and is as I have said repeatedly on my site here NOT suited to the majority of people. GET something a bit bigger.
I had a very nice lady contact me this week about wanting the tiniest of tinies, I had no idea it was for a child but it came out eventually it was for her four year old daughter who just wanted to put a pup in a bag and carry it around.
The lady was very understanding and all when I explained that I don’t even sell this size of dog to varsity students etc, as this size of dog is very dependent on its owner and I sell this size of dog to people who treat that pup like a human baby no need to go overboard but it is a pup that needs to be monitored around the clock.
I have placed this size of dog with COMPETENT owners for a couple of decades now and it is not a pup size wise we get that often. Some folk are under the impression they arrive in numbers NOT SO.
So please this size of pup is for adults and adults that either work from home or do not work at all. This size is also a dog that is not KENNEL material, so don’t be tempted to book a mouse of a dog into a kennel facility for boarding, and again not the best to let a friend or family babysit UNLESS that dog is comfortable with that person or people. I know from my own experience that the tinier the dog the more DEPENDENT it is on the owner.
Be cautious when asking a friend to babysit as happened to someone who bought a mouse of a dog from me when she went overseas on holiday, The friends, friend’s dog KILLED her dog all it took was one bite.
So many people believe a teacup to be just a smaller version of the normal sized dog, it is anything but THAT. The moment an owner becomes complacent, has the attitude of knowing it all the WHEELS often come off. TRAGIC but it happens. NOT once has it been proven, I might add that the pup in question has been born with any abnormalities that caused the death of the pup. This is not somethign we face frequently at all in all these years posisbly a handful of times.
To say to me as the breeder - we have waited our entire lives to own the tiniest of tinies and now is the time.
No problem with that but once again this is not a puppy to just take and think it is a walk in the park GO WALKES really a genuine teacup pup.???
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. Please remember the above applies to the GENUINE TEACUP PUP and DOG
so this size dog is not a 1.5kg or 2kg as some breeders choose to tell the public.

I am looking for a tea cup yorkie as I have been doing for the best part of 6 months. I have to thank you for your explanations on your website as I don’t think there is anything I have not heard from breeders of which I have contacted many. I have been told no such thing exists as well as the small ones, are the runt of the litters that is why they are always sick and don’t live long lives. I have been told I have three and when I go and view those pups they are anything but small sized. I have come across a good many scams fortunately not been caught up in that. So to have read an explanation has helped me to understand better. I must say breeders can be very negative and some most helpful but the HELPFUL breeders are very few and far between.

THE SIZE OF HER, WE ONLY BREED WITH THE PROPER BREEDING SIZED DOGS
Compare her to the cat and you will see she is far smaller.........
TEACUP puppy and dog - MANIA
A few factors to take into consideration about this much sort after sized puppy/dog HOWEVER read on to know some facts.
Firstly no such thing exists as a teacup litter of pups. IF and it is a big ‘IF’ a teacup sized pup arrives in a litter of pups it is a rare thing. So if you are interested and suited to owning the genuine sized teacup pup YOU ARE GOING TO WAIT.
This being January I had a gentlemen tell me he would be happy to wait for one till FEBRUARY next month. Sorry that does not happen either.
I have been involved with the proper genuine teacup dog for more than three decades and I am referring to the REAL DEAL and those that think they are available just like that, you are very mistaken.
I never have a teacup or three sitting here waiting for their forever home, they will have been offered to someone who has shown interest in the past and here again, I don’t sell to impulse buyers, I don’t sell to people who saw JOE SOAP with a teacup hence they just have to own one too and I don’t sell to people with young children in the home, as that could be a tragedy waiting to happen. I don’t sell to people who want a dog as a STATUS SYMBOL I don’t breed pups by the dozen and the GENUINE TEACUP dog is never available in numbers. IT IS A RARE SIZED PUP/DOG
One lady even said to me she would like to choose a teacup from the next litter of teacup pups. NO SUCH THING happens OR EXISTS. If a teacup pup should arrive in a litter of pups it is a rare situation and not something that one expects to have more than one teacup in a litter.
Watch out for those who claim to know it all and everything to know…… been there myself and sold teacups way back then that were in exceptionally bad health, the time I did not know any better.
I get loads of enquiries and often on speaking to the person making enquiries I can tell immediately they are not TEACUP owner material.
This is not a case of the breeder being nasty, BEING OPINIONATED, difficult or whatever else this is about the right size dog going to the right home. A teacup pup and eventual adult dog is HANDS ON major HANDS ON if they are not bred properly the future owner will sit with untold drama (Health wise) and if they are not handled properly by their owner they too may very well sit with untold drama. People who purchase the tinies and months down the line become complacent, NORMALLY they will at some or other time have a drama or nasty accident. It is not a size of dog to take lightly. ANYTHING but.
I have placed a good few teacups GENUINE TEACUPS in exceptional homes over the years and we also have teacups in overseas countries.
PLEASE before you phone around asking about a teacup sized pup that may be available, firstly ask yourself what size this pup must mature to , I ask the public and often they reply with I HAVE NO IDEA I just want a teacup?????
I also get told my friend xyz has a teacup I saw it and it is a mixed breed, the breeds being A and B and there is no way possible that pup or adult dog could be a really tiny dog, but they are told it is a teacup and that is what they believe it to be. So they view this pup that is more than likely 2 to 3kg as a teacup. The reason it is very important you purchase what you want.
I have had the odd occasion years back when people have come to me for a pup and back then they did indeed have a teacup pup and it was the only one in the litter or the breeder had never had anything so small or it just did not grow. However next thing they say to me, is PLEASE I don’t want that very tiny sized pup or dog again. As I say the genuine teacup pup and adult dog is not suited to the majority of the public.
Over many years I have had the public contact me and explain how they lost their teacup pup or dog to a freak accident. Tragic indeed but something that could have been avoided had all the necessary steps been followed and security measures put in place.
The basics to a teacup pup or adult dog, is take no chances, treat it like a baby and you won’t or cannot go far wrong.
Treat it just as a smaller than small dog, you could be in for a real nasty shock at some time or another, it is way more than just a very small pup and dog.
Another thing to take into consideration is the price of the pup. A genuine teacup cannot be an inexpensive dog considering all that is put into that pup. People who have the idea that seeing it is so small should be far cheaper. NOT SO.
We have a teacup born here that pup is monitored around the clock we just cannot presume MOM has this under control. It can take days and weeks of monitoring to ensure the pup is being raised as it should be. People are under the impression a pup is born raised by mother dog, starts eating has a shot and off to a new home. Does not happen with a teacup. It may happen on a very odd occasion but in general NEVER does.
Just take into consideration that a pup that is going to end up 1.5kg give or take is far easier to raise than a really small sized puppy. It also will depend on the weight of the small sized puppy or dog, is it a well covered, well proportioned, pup or a bag of bones covered with fur.
So when asking to purchase a real genuine tiny your budget should take the HARD WORK and total effort and most of all the dedication it takes in raising that healthy little life – into consideration.
No walk in any park and anyone who believes it is OH SO EASY must think twice. This again is not the breeder making a fortune selling dogs that have taken the best part of three months to raise this is about raising and the producing of the occasional rare genuine teacup ,PROPERLY.
No interbreeding of any kind, bred as nature intended from proper breeding sized dogs. NO such thing as the parents are teacups. GENUINE teacups don’t breed, well should not be bred from and if they do it is a miracle, or the owner is heartless and in most instances surgery is required.
NOT something we do or believe in doing.
I hope this article has given insight as to the real story behind the really tiny sized pups and dogs.
In the right home with the right owner it is a blessing beyond words, in the wrong home with the wrong owner a disaster waiting to happen.
I thank you for your time………….

Teacups
Some insight into this size of pup and adult dog.
There is no BREED standard for anything other than the 7lb yorkie which in PROFESSIONAL breeders terms equates to the miniature size Yorkshire terrier.
Over decades of this breed of dog being produced the sizes have begun to differ considerably from being on the far smaller size to ending up being on in some instances extremely large for the breed.
These days the term TEACUP size is thrown around like GOOD MORNING or HELLO, if anyone wants to sell their pups and fast all they do is add the term TEACUP and like magic the pup or pups are sold in record time.
I do feel sorry for the public who are led to believe by breeders that a teacup adult weight is 600gms??????????? Or anything up to 2kg??????????
We have been involved with the owning and producing of some exceptionally tiny dogs over the last PLUS THREE DECADES some of which we bought way back then and some we have produced as NATURE intended, not manipulated by their breeding or producing to be blessed with some very tiny pups and ultimate adult dogs.
We have produced dogs that matured to 550, 584, 587 and 600gms over the last twenty something years. Every single one of these ultra tiny teacups came from parent dogs males of 2kg plus and females of 2.5 to 3kg.All totally unrelated as well, the very reason these ultra tiny dogs have been healthy through their lives and the majority of them have reached their teenage years without the first health issue.
HOWEVER the majority of teacup dogs we have had born here as NATURE INTENDED are dogs that have matured to 1kg and sometimes a bit less and sometimes around 1.1kg.
One has to be realistic, many years back I had a lady come to see me, with her dog in hand. At that time I would have my own dogs in our closed off garden (that led into my home) No kennels or cages and NO outside wendy houses for our dogs and their pups, we never have pups by the dozen ever.
This lady then pointed to one of my small dogs and said to me that has to be very tiny I at that time said she is 1.2kg and her reply to me impossible my dog is one kilogram. I handed her the dog in question while I took her dog and her dog was nothing more than fur, like a feather in my hand. The dogs food was rationed to ensure she remained so low in weight. This is just so not on. My dogs are solid and robust and if a dog eats too much it may end up one or two hundred grams heavier but to deliberately starve your dog to be able to say you own a one kilogram dog is really unacceptable inhumane and cruel.
Some people out there are under the impression or so it would appear that pups are manufactured NOT bred as nature intended so I get told I want a pup that matures to no more than XXXX weight. It is possible to be able to work this out but then quite a few things have to all fall into place and in some instances that does go down.
Over the years we too have had to contend with some people who want this size of dog for the STATUS of owning it. So when I get those people coming to me asking that it has to be the tiniest of the tinies I am put off as that is not what owning a dog should be about. It should be for the love of having it not for the BRAG status. However I do believe that if you want a tiny you want a tiny I was like that myself moons ago.
However the breeding of such tinies must be something undertaken with a serious intention. Over the years it has been made known to me by the public how they have purchased pups, all grossly underaged passed off as teacup sizes. Tragic to think that the people who purchased these pupsd believes they would be in their home for many years to come.
The tiny as I repeatedly mention throughout my website, is not suited to the majority of the public and that is something future want to be owners should take seriously.
Over the years we have placed a good few dogs that are tiny in very good homes and the people that own them dedicated to them. Once again I must emphasise this is not the size of dog to take lightly, very often it is life changing.
I hope that this info in some way or another, has helped a lot of you in understanding more about this much spoken about TEACUP sized dog or pup.
Thank you for your time.

It is ALL ABOUT THE DOG
Making enquiries about buying a new PUPPY?
Please give an indication of gender you require, plus size and PLEASE what size, if you are not sure of the terminology used for sizing refer to another breed of dog or give me an indication in adult weight. OR SIMPLY just explain exactly what you wish to own and your own personal circumstances, a lot of people do this.
I know it is not easy for the public to be sure exactly what they want size wise but it helps me if they do give me more information.
If this a childs dog? If so how old is the child, daughter son, ? Possibly 2 years possibly 22 years makes a huge difference.
TEACUPS requested frequently but now i ask what size of dog must this teacup pup mature to and the replies are varying to huge degrees. Some folk have purchased what they were sold as a teacup and it is a 2kg adult dog so some of the public say my friend has a teacup and then you find out it is 2kg.
If someone comes to me and i feel, fits the bill to be a suitable owner for that ultimate TINY dog of around 1kg give or take as adult, i will not deliberately sell them any other size other than what they are wanting. It can be difficult to be 100% sure accurate but we do try.
However i noted this weekend a pic of a Lady on her Husbands profile holding her new pup. This gentleman the husband has been on my case for months regarding a proper teacup pup as the previous pup was exactly that, the dog they owned before, however when that new pup they now own matures to adulthood i think they will be very disappointed. T CUP pups are rare. NOt suited to the majority of people as to own one and raise it as it should be raised, can be and often is a life changer for the owner.
This size of dog is not suited to a child teenager etc, i get it all the time BUT my child is so gentle. I can accept that BUT should an accident happen, that will be a devastating experience for any child and one i would opt to avoid at all costs. I have had adults have an accident with a really tiny dog and on the very rare occasion a not so tiny pup and they feel badly enough imagine a young child?
Furthermore a proper teacup pup needs around the clock attention, school goers, varsity students and the likes, cannot offer that sort of attention then i get the parent saying but i can do that, NO problem - then the next problem you will face is who the dog is going to consider being its owner? It happens, you as the parent feed the pup wake up in the night to do the necessary, as the owner has school varshity, college the following day??? Who does the pup see as its OWNER in time the one getting up to do the PJ drill. the smaller the pup the more dependent that pup is on its human caregiver. The tinier the pup and ultimately adult dog the more it bonds with ONE PERSON and one person only. May enjoy the family the spouse but when that pup/dog wants someone it is the owner, i speak from decades of experience having owned my first TEACUP yorkie at the age of 21 years. SO PLEASE TAKE THIS INTO CONSIDERATION BEFORE YOU CONSIDER BUYING THE ULTIMATE TINY
If a tiny is dropped, allowed to fall from a couch to the ground, is stood on etc, all incidents that could impact greatly on the well being of that tiny animal. in fact could be fatal, this happens and it has happened to many good owners as they just dont take into consideration how much work it is in fact to raise a mouse of a pup.
Never mind how much effort it takes on the part of the breeder, which in some cases escapes the thoughts of the person wanting to own one. They are not a cheap pup and the reason being for that, the time and effort it takes to raise a really tiny pup. I am not going to go into detail any further, can become boring however buy a pup that is suited to your lifestyle, your circumstances, dont buy a tiny because you saw JOE SOAP with one or your frient has one... I thank you for your time....

I received the below info early this morning 13/09/2023
from a DOG OWNER of mine,
who has purchased pups from me, referred family and friends to me for pups. Thank you Jacquie
The author Mr Alan Kenworthy contacted me some years back asking if i would write a chapter on the TEACUP yorkie for his book he planned to publish in the near future. I found it an honour in fact and an opportunity as there is so many GREY areas regarding a teacup dog out there.
These days 2023 and a few years prior TEACUP is used as a term by some, no matter the size of the pup to attract business and sales
SO TODAY i get people enquiring about a teacup as they own one and i ask what weight their TEACUP is, i hear
2kg and sometimes even more.
However there is NO exact name to sizing in the breed.
The breed standard calls for a dog of 7lbs.
THE GENUINE TEACUP PUP/DOG THAT I REFER TO IS A SOMEWHAT TINY DOG not suited to most people,
an out and out BABY in the home and we sell HEALTHY pups irresepctive of the size of our pups we sell they all carry health guarantees.
OUR pups we breed are all produced as NATURE INTENDED no interbreeding breeding with breeding sized dogs
Thank you for your time

THANK YOU...
You may very well ask? Are you the type of breeder who goes out of their way to produce beyond tiny pups ?
The answer to that would be a NO. We do have the occasional genuine tiny born AS NATURE INTENDED not as a result of the way in which we breed.
However we have produced our own MICE for over two decades now, owning MICE sized dogs for in excess of 3 decades ourselves.
HOWEVER the mice sized pups we produce are bred from proper sized breeding dogs with
NO INTERBREEDING of any kind.
We have NEVER gone out of our way to interfere with NATURE, the reason we can and do
Sell all our pups irrespective of their size with HEALTH GUARANTEES
IF a mouse sized dog is bred properly - that mouse will live well into its teenage years
with minimum visits to a vet IF ANY for health reasons. However like any dog annual visits are necessary for shots and overall check ups to ensure you keep your dog in the best health possible.
HOWEVER IT IS VERY IMPORTANT, THE OWNER / FUTURE OWNER IS WELL AWARE THIS IS NOT JUST A TINY SIZED DOG BUT A CHANGE IN YOUR DAILY ROUTINE AND LIFE.
WE DONT JUST SELL TO ANY ONE ENQUIRING ABOUT OWNING A MOUSE SIZED PUP/DOG , WE DO OUR RESEARCH
WE DO NOT SELL TO IMPULSE BUYERS AND WE DO NOT SELL ANY PUP AS A STATUS SYMBOL

SAD BUT TRUE….. Teacup pups and dogs…. 24 June 2023
I received a call from a Lady earlier this week who had visited my website and felt if anyone would understand what she had experienced, about her walk with her supposed TEACUP pup/dog, it would be.
We spoke for around an hour give or take and I learnt firstly she is a devoted owner however sadly how badly bred her dog in fact was. Sold to her as a teacup reached around 2kg. This can happen so that in itself is no crime.
In those years the dog now is 13 years of age. She has had this poor adored boy diagnosed with liver shunt, heart disease, fluxating patella’s which is moving kneecaps, epilepsy, now he is suffering from cancer and an enlarged heart.
I can sympathise with her as over the years when I wanted to purchase a teacup pup my initial purchase of a genuine teacup dog was a ten-month-old female yorkie that weighed 600gms. The time I visited the breeders premises, I saw the daughter who was not a youngster I imagine in her twenties somewhere and she showed me this dog she claimed to be her mothers and said to me wont be easy getting her from my MOM as she is her dog but is kept in a kennel and run all the time. NOT the best life for her and she said the reason she remained so tiny was simple, fed tomato and lettuce, mostly salad to ensure she was so tiny.
I initially had gone to the breeders to purchase a small sized pup but I was not happy with what I saw no ways would they be tiny and hence the daughter showed me this little angel. I left and sad to say did not get to take her home. However daughter had told me to persist in contacting her MOM and beg for this little dog which in fact I did. It was not an easy story at all, the lady initially would not hear of it, and after I asked over a fair length of time I got to buy her way back then in 1989 for R2 500-00.
I had owned yorkies from a verry young age and the very first one I ever owned was bred by a guy and he turned out to weigh 1kg. I was not at that stage on the lookout for a mouse sized dog he only had two pups and I took the smaller of the two. In fact I had no idea such tiny little folk existed.
So I came home with SUZI as I named her, her registered name was totally different. FRITH. Four days into being her proud mother I went off on business and was phoned up from home to be told she had come out of her tiny soft-padded dog bed on the floor and all of a sudden could not use her one front leg. I immediately came back home and took her to the vet, LEG was broken. I did not think too much of that right at that time.
Vet said seeing she was so tiny she would never cope with a normal cast so she used ice-cream sticks and Elastoplast. Told to return with her in 6 weeks’ time. However not even a week later exactly the same thing went down, coming out her bed fell over and the other leg appeared to be broken. So back to the vet who splinted this leg and said this dog clearly had a problem with her bones or this would not be happening. REASON the way she was fed.
So both front legs were now in casts so to speak. The vet x-rayed her a couple of weeks later to check for healing in the legs, NOTHING.
The vet then referred me to a specialist vet who did orthopaedics in Richmond Johannesburg. He was somewhat shocked and agreed this dog was not raised correctly and her feeding had resulted in her body containing NO calcium and it would not surprise him at all if she continued to break bones. He in fact told me I may very well end up euthenaising her if we could not find a solution.
This was terrible news for me and he said we can try injecting steroids her only chance of healing her broken bones, they would heal with what he referred to as grizzle not the normal healing for broken bones. So that is what we did, she had numerous shots of steroids and literally weeks down the line we saw via x ray those bones start to heal. MIRACLE for sure.
Due to the fact that I was so involved with this baby that clearly had some mountains to climb from the day she broke leg ONE she was never away from me irrespective of where I went.
Work, weddings, funeral, shopping, restaurants that dog was with me. Being such a tiny little angel it was easy enough to hide her and not in a doggy bag or carrier but in my own handbag.
The day she passed both my husband and I were devastated, in fact I only have to think of her and the tears flow. She was one of a kind, a dog if I can refer to her as a DOG that will never be forgotten. She was very much part of our lives.
Attached is a pic of her taken by a professional photographer one day at a KUSA dog show a good number of years ago. Suzi had nothing to do with the show but was purely with her MOM myself, as a spectator.
Years back numerous breeders sold Teacup pups, sadly I was one of those unfortunate buyers as was a good few people I knew at the time.
I USED to BUT no longer do have people on waiting lists for pups, this aided some people in securing the special pup from me, however it became somewhat of an irritant to me, when people joined a list and after a couple of months started demanding their teacup dog, although it was made very clear to them from the get go it was a lengthy process, this size of pup was rare.
It got back to my ears how the odd breeder would tell the public they will wait forever for a teacup from me. Maybe they would and maybe they would not but the genuine teacup pup is a rare pup. AND in fact it was none of their business in the first place. However sad as it was, ONE breeder in particular offered a PURCHASER of mine who was waiting patiently for that special little pup, a pup guaranteed to be tiny as an adult, estimated 1,2kg in weight. Matured to being 2,5kg some teacup.
Hooray lady so excited and she kept in contact with me through it all as we had become dog pals. Sad to say, pup diagnosed with LIVER SHUNT serious liver shunt and in a couple of years and thousands of rands later, the dog sadly passed from complications of liver shunt. It can happen to the best of us, however same breeder strangely enough I got to hear of a pup or dog should I say, owned by someone who has bought dogs from me of late, the dog in question 7 years of age, diagnosed a good couple of years ago with Cushing’s disease.
As I said it can happen to anyone.
The one owner in England of a dog of mine, turned 7 years in February lovely tiny little girl. Owner, too got caught up in buying teacups one lived five years in total, sadly at a vet every other month or two. Others died in months of being purchased. Very sad.
My very own experience way back, purchased a teacup from a breeder who still breeds today, who sold me the pup but I had to sign to say she was not responsible in anyway if the pup had a health problem. I won’t even mention what she charged for that baby, over the top amount but I gladly paid as back then I was a novice I am talking many moons ago. I took the pup to the vet to be inoculated that had not been done even at the asking price she charged me. Vet advised me not to waste my money or time, pup had such a bad head nothing no bone whatsoever covering the brain, the pup could never survive. AND she only made it a week or so more.
What is of interest to me, some time back I came across this particular breeders advert where she warns people NOT to buy teacups. ????? Not to mention that another breeder too no longer advertises she sells teacups but that too is very sad as at the time she did, numerous folk contacted me desperate for a solution to get their pup to survive. Tragic to say all taken for a ride or so it would seem.
Which leaves me to my conclusion to this article. We do produce teacups, from time to time, they are born in the odd litter as nature intended. We don’t and never have interbred our dogs the reason when a pup is born irrespective of its size, we sell all pups with health guarantees.
NO teacup size adult dog can breed naturally if made to breed they will end up being butchered in order to deliver their pup or pups. Not something that should be entertained at all.
Many folk over the years have called me up looking to buy another teacup and they have owned the genuine tiny teacup and I say go back to your breeder only to be told the breeder only has ever produced one of this size and it was never expected to be so tiny.-
We have been blessed and are blessed having produced the odd tiny for a good many years.
Before you rush into wanting a genuine tiny think long and hard.
It is not a dog for everyone, hands on, you have to be on your game if you in fact purchase one and if you do and in time become complacent, you may have a nasty surprise come your way. This will never be a pup or dog you can just take for granted, it will always take priority in your life and if it does not, well you may learn a very unpleasant lesson at some or other time.
I have had some out of this world people over the years owning this size of dog and then sad to say I have had some really miserable types to contend with, however that is life you are always going to come across folk who think this is an item to purchase with no feelings, no special needs just so they can be big deals such as being on a major ego trip. NOT ON MY WATCH.
Please remember this size of dog suits very few folk and it comes at a cost, you cannot expect any breeder who has raised this size of dog, to hand it over for peanuts it simply does not work that way, it takes a huge amount of effort to raise a mouse and we expect no less from the new owner going forward to put a huge amount of effort in raising this baby till adulthood and having this companion for years to come well into the dogs teenage years WITH NO HEALTH ISSUES.
Over the years I have had the odd person tell me we know what it is like having a tiny we have had hamsters, raised kittens. All well and good but a hamster is meant to be the size it is and to hand raise a kitten is a walk in the park in comparison, NO dog is meant to be so tiny, so don’t feel overly confident because those that do, usually are the one’s to hit a problem along the way.
It is vitally important this size of pup if healthy from the start and the future owner sticks to the rules and does what is required for it to remain that way.
Thank you for your time, I trust that if you had questions regarding the GENUINE teacup pup or adult dog, some of your questions may have been answered in this article.
We do consider ourselves fairly knowledgeable with regards to these tiny sized dogs having owned our first when I was 21 and am now the proud grandmother of grandchildren oldest of which is almost 18 years of age. NO overnight sensation with regards to the genuine teacup dog.
In the right hands this size of dog will be a wonderful companion to its owner for many years and here again it is not a child’s dog, or a teenagers dog or even a varsity students dog, it is ideal for someone who wants a total dedicated companion at their side all day and every day, this size of pup normally is fully bonded with ONE person only. NOT the size of dog for a companion to another dog unless the other dog is also a mouse of a dog.
Thanks for reading my article.
Here is the one and only SUZI not the best of pics but none the less a dog in a million GONE, but never forgotten. AN honour to have been her owner

Using jerseys jacket etc on your pup or dog...
It is most important if you clothe your pup or dog in the colder weather to remove that jacket jersey daily and allow the skin of your dog to breathe. As can be seen in the above pic this dog is in full coat and has been since the day the owner purchased her from me some years back. Groom daily if you clothe your animals or you will find knots, matted coat and if you leave that coat on for any length of time and not remove it, dry skin and ...................... A full coated dog is something rare to see these days, sad in fact as a dog in full coat and well cared for and managed proprerly is a real beautiful thing to see.....
A
Teacups the real deal the GENUINE TEACUP PUP....
Every other day i get enquiries for a teacup puppy...
LOADS OF SCAMS OUT THERE REGARDING TEACUP PUPS. BEWARE......
Just a few things to take into consideration when looking to purchase a TEACUP pup, they are first and foremost RARE, not available ever in numbers and most certainly the parents are most definitely not teacup dogs, unless the breeder of those dogs is heartless cruel and a few other things. TEACUPS are too tiny to breed, so next time a breeder says the parents are teacups, take to the hills......... OR just take a good think to yourself REALLY..... is the mother caesared to produce that litter or is the fact that the mother is a teaup sized dog a HUGE figment of the owner/breeders imagination....
If bred correctly and ethically a teacup pup MAY "MAY" appear in the very occasional litter it is not something we guaranee will be born. If bred ethically, and by that i mean as NATURE INTENDED the genuine teacup may appear in bloodlines that carry that gene.
WE DONT BELIEVE IN INTERBREEDING AS IS DONE OUT THERE, IT IS FIRSTLY CRUEL TOTALLY UNETHICAL AND ALL THAT IS ACHIEVED IN SO DOING IS PUTTING HELPLESS, SICKLY, SHORT LIVED PUPS ON THIS EARTH THAT GOING FORWARD WILL CAUSE THEIR UNFORTUNATE OWNERS, MASSIVE HEARTACHE, EMOTIONAL STRESS AND HUGE VET BILLS. UNLESS of course the purchaser of a teacup is all in it for their status, then i guess it makes no difference if the pup in question suffers or not and trust me YOU GET THIS TYPE of person. Sad to say have had the misfortune of knowing the odd one. NO MORE...
dont be tempted to buy a genuine teacup sized pup unless you have the ablity to do what is required for that pup, this story i sadly get periodically from time to time, from those future owners who consider a teacup to fulfil one of their STATUS needs is simply not acceptable to me and never has been. These are live breathing living creatures not something that is manufactured and has no feelings....
We sell all our pups with HEALTH GUARANTEES no matter how big or small that pup may be...
THANKS FOR READING THIS INFO AND HAVE A SUPERD DAY..
One other thing, i get people wanting a pup to be full grown dog at the weight of one kilogram. i would be interested to know how many out there can actually find a pup guaranteed to be this adult weight at a very low cost.??? They are rare they are very hands on to raise... they take up a lot of the breeders time and mine here when i have the odd one is monitored around the clock 24/7 the reason i state throughout my website the teacup dog is not suited to the majority of people, be sure you are suited to that size of dog...

Facts about the GENUINE TEACUP PUP/DOG…
Firstly this article is not meant to disrespect the first person but just a few factors that are worth taking into account.
MINIATURE YORKIE is not a tiny dog, IT IS MOST CERTAINLY NOT A TEACUP SIZED DOG breeders who refer to small sized yorkies as MINIATURE are not professional breeders, they in fact are misleading their buyers and the public, as the miniature sized yorkie to a professional dog breeder (NO insult here all i mean is breeders that have been breeding for many years, people who show etc, know that a miniature yorkshire terrier as an adult weight dog is a weight of 2.5 to 3.5kg. Tell your breeder of choice what size as an adult dog you wish to purchase to ensure you are both on the same page about SIZE.
NO DIFFERENT to a teacup pup advertised as that when it is far removed from being a teacup pup.
Lets carry on regarding the purchasing or your interest in owning the GENUINE TEACUP PUP.
It makes not difference to myself as the breeder or to the pup as to what the owner possesses, flashy car, fancy home etc, it makes no difference to me if the buyer is a run of the mill dog owner living a normal happy life or someone that owns half of Sandton. It makes no difference to the dog either, the owner is all that I am concerned with and the pup would be concerned with if it could speak.
You either are a suitable owner for the ultra tiny or you are not and you cannot buy being the right owner, It is in you or it is not. Please no offence here, as my dogs are owned by people from all walks of life, both in SA and overseas and I do my utmost to ensure they are not purchased as trophy pups or dogs or status symbols which I have unfortunately had to contend with in past years.
I am again somewhat reluctant to sell to people who know it all, raised kittens, a hamster or two, a genuine teacup pup is far removed from either.
Recently I had a future buyer advising me they would take leave from their employment to raise the pup??? A pup of that size a teacup is not raised in three weeks unfortunately. OWNING or buying a GENUINE teacup sized pup takes months and months to raise and the adult version of the genuine teacup is not a dog that one can leave once it is grown as it takes effort, people who want this size of dog have to realise this size of dog is a life changer, not something you raise then it just becomes a DOG. if that is who you are or what you think, you are not THE GENUINE TEACUP PUP/DOG owner material.
The issues that may arise from owning a tiny sized pup/ adult dog do not necessarily only concern teacups they could very well cause issues with small sized pockets as well.
If you own a small sized pup or dog, ensure firstly it is free from all internal and external parasites.
Keep your pup dogs inoculations up to date, see your vet annually, for a good check up. Keep your pup/dog dewormed.
Prevent treat your pup or dog against ticks and fleas, TICKS may result in Biliary which may cause the death of your dog or puppy. All our pups leave us prevent treated against ticks and fleas (info on the time length the pup is safe will be given to the owner on collection) to ensure they are safe in their new home and environment. If you have issues with ticks and fleas take the necessary precautionary steps.
Ensure your pup/dog eats a balanced, DOG DIET and has access to fresh water at all times.
If for any reason your pup or dog refuses to eat, time to take action. OR if your pup presents with vomiting or diarhoea when you are dealing with the smaller sizes no time to sit back and adopt a wait and see attitude, time to take action.
The minute you adopt a wait and see attitude, you are putting your smaller sized pups and adult dogs life at risk.
The very reason I continually advise that tinies are not suited to the majority of the public. Full time responsibility, not really suited to folk who work either. Not suited to be left home alone all day long either.
Famous last words – I was exhausted on returning home from work dog, well pup of 6 months of age or so had been off colour all day BUT OWNER WAS TOO TIRED to go to the vet, left till the morning.
Taken to the state of the art vet practice, vets are not Miracle workers JUST VETS, HUMANS. Dog way past being SAVED. OH then it was my fault as the breeder, however the LABORATORY report told the truth in plain English terms MISMANAGED by owner.
DON’T TAKE CHANCES WITH SMALL SIZED PUPS AND DOGS, WELL no matter the size of your pup or dog, you should get medical help as soon as a problem becomes obvious.
FREAK ACCIDENTS….
Freak accidents in general happen to tinies, as their owners become complacent, and believe they are a NORMAL PUPPY OR NORMAL ADULT SIZED DOG. the moment anyone has this attitude their pup or dog is at risk.
Over many years, decades in fact, I have had people come to me with sad heartbreaking stories regarding their tinies, some I have bred and some I have nothing whatsoever to do with. Just to give you some insight I make mention of some of the disasters that have gone down below.
- Pups and even adult do stood on – instant death
- Pups and adult dog drowning
- Pups and adult dogs run over
- Pups and adult dogs left in the garden and STOLEN
- Pups and adult dogs getting out of the gate never to be seen or heard of again.
- Adult teacup dog (1kg) left in pool area when owner out and pool service pitched.
- Dog left outside when garden service pitches
- Pups going through fences when moving home, one drowned in fact before the owner could alert the new neighbour pup fell into swimming pool.
- Dogs being walked with other dogs approaching them and doing serious injury and some dogs even fatally attacked.
- I get sent pics of my pups or dogs walking on a beach with a dog greeting them, DANGEROUS as all it takes is that other dog to dislike your dog and your dog is history or seriously injured.
- Pups or dogs being dropped, falling off beds or couches to their death.
- Pups being handled by children, dropped, etc, fatal in the majority of cases
- Visitors coming, dogs locked up in bedroom, visitors child goes investigating, child caught with dog in hand drops dog in fright , dog dies. HIDE THE KEY DON’T LEAVE IT IN THE DOOR LOCK.
- Pup ran past the Maid when door opened, found floating in pool same story with water features and fish ponds, death traps for tinies.
The time one considers their tiny yorkie to be just a dog, like all other dogs, is the time you could face a disaster or drama.
I had an owner – owns dogs of mine , exceptional dog owner entrust her teacup dog from me to a friend, when vacationing overseas. A Friend visited the friend with a dog and that was the end of the teacup yorkie.
One can never be too careful and another factor that I have heard of way too many times is someone visiting AND taking their yorkie with them to family or friends that dogs are all acquainted with – yorkie has been attacked and fatally wounded.
Dogs are territorial don’t take chances put safety measures in place.
The worst I ever heard of was a tiny pup left to run around a vehicle, vehicle involved in a tragic accident, pup seriously injured and DEAD on the scene.
All these sad situations do not make me a HAPPY person.
Firstly don’t buy a teacup pup unless you are the right owner. You can give that pup what it needs or down the line you may have a tragedy go down.
I have owned my first GENUINE teacup sized dog at the age of 21 and I am a grandmother and my oldest grand daughters are teenagers. I have bred yorkies for over three decades and have produced a good few genuine teacup dogs in that time.
I don’t just say that, pics of them appear on this website.
ALL OUR DOGS ARE BRED AS NATURED INTENDED we do not manipulate the breeding of the first dog and by that I mean INTERBREED our dogs. The reason we can and DO SELL WITH HEALTH GUARANTEES.
NO teacup dog is capable of breeding, to hear a teacup litter of yorkies is available???? HOGWASH. Teacups are not born in litters, they appear in an occasional litter.
In the right hands a teacup dog will live well into its teenage years. In the wrong hands sad to say MAY live a very short life…
The safe way to go…
Invest in a playpen, pups should be kept in playpens initially to ensure their safety irrespective of their size.
Travelling with your pup or dog, use a quality carrier that can be secured by a seat belt preferably on the back seat in the middle of the seat to ensure any impact from either side will miss your dog.
Car seats may be cool and all, but offer little protection when involved in an accident.
The most suitable carrier for any pup or small dog would be one that has a metal frame NOT a plastic carrier or soft bodied carrier and of course the crates made by SKYE etc are perfect for your pooches safety but a tad on the bigger side.
Various sizes available from extra small to 3x large..
Use a harness for your yorkie irrespective of its size, it gives you better control and much better for your dog.
BE CAUTIOUS of walking your dog/s and meeting up with strange dogs, do not trust that other dog, pick up your dog, get the vibe before you trust the other dog.
Don’t think back if only I had or in hindsight …..
Don’t take chances or put your pup or dog at risk.

UPDATE ON COURT CASES 30 January 2023
Complaints on social media BEWARE MAKING THEM….
It is so easy for anyone to run their mouth off in a posting on social media BUT BE CERTAIN,
what you claim went down is the truth or else you will / may very well face A LAW SUIT OR TWO or possibly even more.
Mijoy it would appear has been an easy target for some making FALSE allegations etc, creating sad stories that were untrue, all to make MIJOY look a questionable operation.
However we are going through the COURT PROCESS and have had one offender risk imprisonment before she complied and removed all postings. Another offender (unfortunately due to the CONSTANT load shedding, making court hearings/cases to be postponed, because NO court operates during load shedding hours, also the fact that the court is inundated with cases) - our other case has to date been postponed three times, however no matter what, the offender will face the COURT at some or other stage and take responsibility for their actions. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
The truth will prevail - No matter what

Be a responsible pet owner….
How do you start?
- If you do not purchase your puppy micro-chipped have your vet, chip your pup.
- Sterilise your pet at 6 months of age.
- Take out pet insurance on your pup.
- Inoculate your pet annually, once all initial inoculations have been done, refer to your vet for your pups immunisation plan.
Micro chipping your pet, this ensures should your pet ever get lost YOU can prove ownership of your PET. Remember to keep your contact details, phone numbers and address etc. up to date failing which it may be very difficult to track the owner of a found pet.
Sterilising your pet the healthiest most important thing a pet owner can do is sterilize their pet and that should be done around 6 months of age.
This avoids unwanted pregnancies is the safe and healthiest option for ALL PETS and prevents female dogs from risking pyometra or mammary tumors.
Males prevents future prostrate, kidney or bladder issues.
A Neutered male is far less a threat to an entire male should they meet up, an entire male meeting up with another entire male dog could end up in serious injuries being incurred UNNECESSARILY, sterilize your pets.
A sterilised male is not going to rush out the gate if a female is on heat in your neighbourhood.
THE ADVANTAGES FAR OUTWAY THE COST OF STERILISATION….
Pet insurance. This assists with any unforeseen treatments or accidents that may be required for your pet. Depending on which policy you take out, some even cover the annual visit for the examination and inoculations as well as deworming for your pet.
Dental examinations and dentals themselves are a must to keep your pet in good health all its life.
DID YOU KNOW…. Unhygienic gums and dirty teeth can result in your pet developing life threatening health issues if the infection from the mouth gets into your pets blood stream.
PREVENTION IS THE KEY TO LONG HEALTH, GOOD HEALTH AND THE ULTIMATE PET, KEPT IN THE ULTIMATE HEALTH.
Travelling with your pet, ensure it is contained and not allowed to run around in the car.
On the beach, at a friend’s, visiting, ??? Use a playpen to safeguard your pet if need be, do not take chances.
SAFETY, SECURITY AND GOOD HEALTH MAKE FOR AN EXCEPTIONAL PET OWNER…..

Mijoy - the truth of it all. read on regarding COURT ORDERS....
We are no different to what we have always been.
We don’t breed pups by the dozens, never have and never will, we breed a quality, healthy pup, micro-chipped. ALL our yorkies and biewers we breed with are registered. We give our clients the option of having their pups registered or not. In this day and age it is about saving money for most out there. OUR pups are sold with health guarantees also sold on contract to be sterilized at 6 months of age NOT NEGOTIABLE. We guarantee all our pups when leaving us are fully socialized, have superb temperaments this is achieved by the many hours spent working and playing with each and every pup. I HAVE yet to have the first person complain about a dog of mine’s temperament.
OUR pups leaves us having had the first two inoculations, the only way that it is guaranteed, pups will not present with a serious health issue such as parvo or distemper. Our tinies leave us fully inoculated including rabies.
We also guarantee NO pup of ours will present with parvo or distemper when leaving us. They are also all PREVENT treated against ticks and fleas so they will never present with biliary when leaving our care. WE GO THE EXTRA MILE.
if there had to be an issue in any pups health within the first year of its life. we would require a LABORATORY report on the pup to establish if we are in anyway to blame for the ill health. HOWEVER it has never been found via a laboratory report that we as the breeder are to blame. If it had to be proven we would replace that pup free of charge.
We do not profess to sell show dogs, or top breeding dogs, if you are looking to breed, we are not the right breeders to approach. We dont sell to breeders or for breeding purposes. We have imported top quality show and breeding dogs in the past BUT we have never sold the first pup in the last three decades to be bred from and more than satisfied with our decision back then and till this day.
If you wish to show approach someone who breeds and shows
We strive to place our pups in exceptional homes FOREVER homes and size - suited homes, as really tiny sized dogs are not suited to the majority of the public.
We have changed the way we operate of late as I have worked with waiting lists for many years but I have come to realise you get the odd person who believes being on a waiting list, entitles them to MAKE OR INVENT some pathetic stories and lie to make it sound real bad. All in attempt to manipulate the breeder and if unsuccessful they resort to tactics and badmouth the breeder through social networks.
I am not that type of person who would resort to slandering the first person on social media although over the years I had more than a few things go down with buying pups from other breeders that I could have gone that route if I was that way inclined however MOST people would never dream of going that route, including myself.
I don’t ask my HAPPY clients to send me a LIKE as I am not on FACEBOOK never have been and never will be, but I can post a good number of MY VERY HAPPY DOG OWNERS emails, what’s app messages to me that are disgusted, shocked and a few other things with regards to the postings on social media regarding MYSELF AND MIJOY.
I am not here to defame anyone NOT MY STYLE but the culprits that have gone all out to do just that to me are facing legal consequences, we still have a couple to proceed against. Some already have been in court and have had court orders placed against them for their actions.
Sad to think that some who have tried to force my hand, tried to manipulate state of events, lie about not knowing who I am should have done their research???? Well really the very same one owns a dog of mine she has had for a good many years around 10 or so years not to mention the evidence is in the hands of the attorneys proving she came to me in 2010 to join a waiting list, so in all those years ago a good many has bought two of my dogs, not as much as the first complaint. The proof is on hand with my legal team to prove once again they have perjured themselves by fabricating events. Contract of sale, micro chip detail registration etc.
I don’t intend explaining myself with regards to other stuff on the internet but to say if anyone is a scammer it is the people concerned. I am not the type to dig holes for others but trust me those who have dug holes for myself will end up IN THEM.
It goes something like this PEOPLE in glass houses should not throw stones….. YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW… and KARMA…..
COURT ORDER issued in my favour remove all postings, failing which MAJOR FINE OR IMPRISONMENT. Any stories remaining out there are as a result of the difficulty of having them eradicated in terms of the order. In due course the necessary action will be taken to enforce the court order.
So don’t assume what is on social media is in fact the truth. A large percentage of it is fabrication.
People need to take responsibility for their actions. NOT my problem nobody’s problem other than their very own.
Be cautious of placing complaints on certain social media platforms that you cannot get removed.?
This will be nobody’s fault other than the one who posted it.
However the law will handle those necessary and they can explain to a court about all their fairytales, because I have the proof on hand in no uncertain terms that they have made up sad stories and some being malicious, vindictive, and total manipulation of the events.
If some persons face being imprisoned, it just may teach them a lesson to stick to the truth and not INVENT stories.
We do not have dogs in cages, runs, wendy-houses, or bred outside or kept outside. Never have and don’t intend to ever go that route either.
We are passionate with what we do have done for the last good many years. We are not here and never have been here to prove anything other than our dedication to the breed of dogs we produce.
We are not interested in competing and hence do not involve ourselves with other breeders, how they operate, what they produce etc and we would appreciate it if they kept their opinions to themselves, as they know precisely NOTHING about me or my breeding operation.
Should anyone contact me with a complaint about another breeder, I don’t get involved as it is none of my business in the first place and I am not here to badmouth anyone never have and never will. I am not that type of person.
I have NEVER knowingly sold to the first breeder in all the years although asked to repeatedly before, but that is my choice and nothing to do with anyone else. It is nothing personal at all but I sell pups to FOREVER homes and I go out of my way to the best of my ability to see that is the case.
NO MORE WAITING LISTS, this is the way forward for MIJOY, this will not allow anyone out there to join a list with me then make threats, attempt to blackmail me, chop and change their minds repeatedly, when taking delivery or decide to take a pup then repeatedly cancel. They will not be in the position to claim, never refunded when in fact they were refunded proof of which is in my attorneys hands.
AS far as the tinies are concerned, NO tiny will be sold until I am satisfied with the prospective buyer and no monies will exchange hands until such time I have it In BLACK AND WHITE as to the date for delivery and taking a particular pup.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME. We are not in competition with anyone, never have been and don’t intend ever to be. NOT MY STYLE.
MIJOY UPDATE 30 November 2022.
Good day some good advice, if you intend to bad mouth, defame or slander or insult anyone on social media before doing so, READ THE SMALL PRINT of the platform you intend making use of .
Seeing I have been in the unfortunate situation of having had this done to myself, I have indeed read up on the small print of these social media forums and it makes interesting reading.
What is of interest is that one is not allowed to defame, insult slander or whatever all else on social media. So in simple language it is against the law and ILLEGAL to do so. INTERESTING… If you choose to do so, you are putting yourself at risk of having legal action brought against you and could lead to civil action for damages resulting from your actions . PRECISELY what has gone down with my situation.
Furthermore read ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS you can relating to the social media forums so that you are well aware of what indeed can go down with YOU one forum especially points out that you don’t have to be the originator of the posting, but if you are tagged regarding that posting that incriminates YOU as well, that means you are more than likely going to have a law suit brought against yourself and are therefore equally liable.
Defamation is a very different story to what most may think, you don’t have to say too much about anything to find yourself in court and being issued with a COURT ORDER for your actions which states categorically remove all postings from social media, failing which you could be fined substantially or imprisoned.
Stick to the truth, dont spread false stories and dont make false allegations, YOU WILL FACE LEGAL ACTION.
THANK YOU for your time.
MIJOY will be back from December with updates on our more than delighted pup and dog owners, as well as good wishes for the holiday season ahead. UNTIL December - TOMORROW take care.

THE TINIEST OF THE TINIES….
I AM frequently asked FOR A TEACUP PUP…. However once I go into detail with the prospective buyer I find a teacup to the public can vary dramatically in size, some believe all Yorkshire terriers are referred to as teacup sized dogs, others feel they are dogs of around 2kg and very often I am told the person making the enquiries owns other teacup dogs. Their teacups can vary dramatically in weight.
It is a fad the TEACUP pup and a big draw card which attracts scams etc.
Although I refer to it as being a fad, we have produced the odd teacup over the last twenty plus years and owned teacups for more than thirty years . We have produced them on a regular basis by that I mean the occasional TEACUP pup will pitch in a very occasional litter of pups but reasonably frequently but considering we don’t breed pups never have in VOLUME, however we do get them.
There is no such thing as a litter of teacups pups and furthermore there is no such thing as a breeding pair of teacup dogs. The reason we have no issue selling every puppy we produce irrespective of its size, with health guarantees as the breeding of our pups is not HUMANLY manipulated, but they are produced as nature intended. We have sold all our pups with health guarantees for decades already and will continue to do so going forward.
We owned our first TEACUP yorkie more than thirty years back a one-kilogram dog and have owned some over a good many years of an ADULT WEIGHT of below 600gms and up to 1kg and 1.1kg robust healthy, short legged, short, bodied doll faced proper out and out teacup sized dogs that live and have lived, well into their teenage years. Having had NO health issues.
There is however one important factor you have to know how to handle, own and raise a tiny sized pup/dog.
Not an inconvenience for a few weeks, a lifetime change.
This size of pup will be monitored by a breeder around the clock to ensure it grows up as it can.
As explained throughout our website it is important the future owner has the lifestyle to own and raise a mouse sized dog. Although some of us fantasise owning this ultra-tiny dog, it is not suited to the majority of folk out there. Furthermore a prospective owner cannot continue to delay taking delivery of this mouse sized pup as it Is not only unfair to the breeder but to the pup. The pup needs to be in its forever home as soon as it can be and with this size of pup can be in its new home from 12 weeks of age. One has to realise a breeder cannot be asked to keep the pup till it is four, five or even six months of age, to make it easier for the future buyer and in so doing make it far more difficult for the breeder of the pup and not fair on the pup that needs to bond with its future owner.
It is a massive responsibility to not only produce the odd teacup pup but to own it. We have placed many a tiny sized dog over decades into the right home, so if you feel you have the right home, you are the right person you are more than welcome to make enquiries. We are however over the top concerned with who will own one of out MICE going forward. NOTHING Personal this is purely for the safety of the pup and to ensure the new owner is in fact the right owner.
It is a simple story either you have the lifestyle or you don’t to raise a really tiny puppy so make the RIGHT decision.
We recommend at the time of asking to purchase a teacup pup from us you are honest. PUBLIC having children should advise accordingly as it would depend on the ages of the children as to how safe a mouse sized pup will be in the prospective owners home.
So often people are astounded to see just how tiny a genuine teacup pup can be, so when making a choice, make the right choice………
NO pup irrespective of its future adult weight should ever be skinny, skin and bones as if that pup fits that description very good chance it has been starved or not wormed, suitably to ensure it is a solid robust pup when leaving the breeder.
One has to realise that nothing is cast in stone, we do our utmost to pass on pups of the size the future owner has requested and if any one has an issue with that, they are more than welcome it discuss it with us.
We have many, many totally satisfied and beyond happy dog owners out there AND for many years in fact…

Subject: Re: Shnookie
Hi Joyce,
Shnookie is doing very well here in the UK with me. Due to the pandemic and my fear of getting the virus, because of my asthma I've had to be extra careful and am therefor at home 24/7. This doesn't bother me at all as I have many hobbies and, most of all, I get to spend all my time with my babies. On the odd occasion when I do have to go out, unless it is somewhere like a hospital, Shnookie is ALWAYS with me. My new papillon puppy has learnt to be very gentle and generally stays out of Shnookie's way. Although, Shnookie has a lot of spunk and is not really afraid of anything. She does however stay very close to me all the time because she knows mummy will always protect her. I hope that one day, when Shnookie is no longer with me, I will be able to get another tiny from you. I know you've said that you won't send a tiny on a flight but hopefully we will be able to make a plan.
By the way, even though Shnookie has an amazing coat, I decided to have her cut short because she really, really HATES being brushed. I have attached some pictures to show you how adorable she looks now. The first one is a 'before' picture.
Keep up the amazing work that you do.
Warm regards,
Neri

HELLO to you all. I have been quiet for the last three months however as breeders we’re open for business.
To those who wondered what has transpired, I was criminally defamed on social media, and the initial defamatory postings, to which I referred to a few attorneys at that time, ADVISED ME TO IGNORE THE DEFAMATION as the people and clients who know me, who have bought Yorkies from me will take no notice, and it was not the correct advice. CLEARLY I should have taken legal action from the onset of the first attack.
My current legal team have advised me NOT to ignore anything posted on social media.
After the one posting appeared, a group decided to wage a vendetta against me on social media which left me no alternative but to begin legal action against all defamatory postings.
I was left with no choice, when the vendetta heated up I had to come out with guns blazing.
I’ve applied to the Courts and charged 3 people with Criminal defamation. If you’re one of the people who have defamed me, my kindly advice is to remove your defamatory posts as it will cost you less court appearances and the legal costs thereof.
It has been an extremely trying time for me to put it mildly with the defamation posted on social media and two people stated they would ensure my reputation was destroyed. The people responsible now have been served by the Sheriffs of the Court.
The truth will come out NO MATTER what and I can prove the defamation posted is anything but the truth. Let the COURTS decide what is for what, not an attorney, not myself but a MAGISTRATE.
I have been advised by trusted people who own my dogs that they’ve been contacted and advised not to do business with me and this too, will be dealt with by my legal team IN DUE COURSE, BABY STEPS RIGHT NOW.
My advice to anyone wishing to defame me is, don’t, as anyone doing so will face a similar situation.
THANK YOU to all those who have sent me personal messages of support
From now on should you receive a call, whats app etc, asking you not to do business with me or see anything defamatory posted after MAY 2022 please kindly advise me as I need this info in order to take further legal action and prove their continual criminal defamation.
Assisting me, as some of you kind folk have, will not implicate you at all, as I truly need to put an end to this vendetta. If you are contacted as has happened recently please kindly forward the messages and or screen shots to me displaying the number from which it originates.
It is a blessing that I can count on GENUINE PEOPLE who clearly value my input when purchasing a pup or three, as some of you have done over the years and not forgetting the public, who I go out of my way to freely assist with canine issues they have.
The passion I have for my dogs and the pups I sell are to GENUINE ANIMAL Lovers.
Thank you to those who’ve taken the time to read this and you’re most welcome to email or Whatsapp me for anything you may wish to discuss.
I no longer operate on waiting lists as some purchasers think they own me if they are on a waiting list and issue abusive ultimatums and extortive threats which are unacceptable to any business owner.
Kind regards, Joyce Kelly, Johannesburg 12th September 2022

The pic on the cover for this coming months NEWSLETTER Number 174, April 2022, comes from ANITA. A card she made I had to take a pic of it to be able to load it but none the less, beyond in love with her MIJOY BLESSING.
Ilse, Olivia you too have also shown your appreciation for your blessings. This is what MIJOY is all about BLESSING those who in turn give their pups they have bought from me, the ultimate life.
MIJOY is not about selling pups to owners, it is about placing the pup in the right home to bring out and out joy, pleasure to those that are involved with the pup and owning it. TOO many of you to make mention of, SO SORRY, if I had to mention you all by name this newsletter would compromise of nothing else, but names of those that have purchased MIJOY dogs for in excess of 20 years if not more, PEOPLE whose children were bought MIJOY dogs as kids to grow up with and be blessed by, who in turn have grown up married had kiddies of their own are back again buying a MIJOY blessing.
We, MIJOY are beyond blessed, having entrusted our PUPS that have formed part of our lives at MIJOY for the past ten or more weeks DEPENDING ON SIZE OF PUP, before leaving us to join their new owner/family. TO US it is way more than breeding dogs, it is a lifestyle, a passion of mine. The YORKSHIRE TERRIER I have owned since 21 years of age, years before I bred them.
IN fact the YORKSHIRE TERRIER has formed part of my entire adult life. The BIEWER TERRIER imported our first dogs in 2011 some adult, some pups.
BEYOND BLESSED.....

Micro chipping ? Are your details up to date???
Are your pets chipped? Every pup bred by MIJOY is micro chipped.
Please ensure you take transfer of ownership and if you relocate change contact details, UPDATE please.
It is not even the HOLIDAY season and I have had my first call 27 Novenber 2021
of ONE of the dogs I bred running the streets In the CAPE and no owner can be traced as
THEY NEVER CHANGED ownership
I sometimes can trace the owner from my paperwork but NOT this one...
PLEASE IF YOU TRAVEL WITH YOUR PETS or even are a stay at home BUDDY, have your pets chipped if they are not.
KEEP YOUR INFORMATION UP TO DATE
Can mean the difference of your pet BEING REUNITED WITH YOU IN RECORD TIME or never to be seen again
NOT ALL DOGS OR CATS WEAR COLLARS. IN FACT IN SOME INSTANCES IT IS NOT THE BEST IDEA.
IT MAKES THE THEFT OF AN ANIMAL THAT MUCH EASIER, TO GRAB IT BY THE COLLAR..
or someone who has stolen the animal REMOVES the collar end of story... OR SO THEY MAY THINK!!!
HOWEVER A CHIPPED ANIMAL - IS A CHIPPED ANIMAL, IDENTIFIABLE AT ALL TIMES.......
Should your pet go missing, you also have the option to
list your pet via its chip details on HOT LINES as having been STOLEN, LOST, MISSING etc.
HOWEVER IF YOU HAVE HAD YOUR PET STOLEN...
ENDS UP ESCAPING FROM THE THIEF AND HANDED IN AT A SHELTER OR VET, the minute that number is put into the system
it will come up as being STOLEN.
so ANYONE laying claim to the animal, other than you the LEGITIMATE owner,
is going to have to PLEASE EXPLAIN.. You will be contacted to claim your pet.
KEEP YOUR DETAILS UP TO DATE...
TEACUP dog, FASHIONABLE OR NOT??
Hello, this topic to me is beyond fascinating. TEACUP pup or dog, what does that mean, to me having owned this size of dog for the last THREE DECADES, I look at a teacup pup or adult dog as being a really small sized dog. However do the public or most of them have any idea what a GENUINE TEACUP pup or dog actually is?
The only reason i ask the questions when i get enquiries, is to hear the reply to my question, as TEACUP today is a FIGURE OF SPEECH.
I am inundated with enquiries and when I ask the person making the enquiry what they consider to be a teacup dog as in adult weight?
I get various answers.
- I DON’T KNOW, but everyone wants one or claims they have one.
- The wife and kids want one
- MY mate’s wife has one, now my wife wants one.
- Or I want one for my GRANDCHILD???????????????
- OR I can afford to buy one, you have to sell me one???
However, most people cannot tell me what a teacup dog in their minds eye is. They have NO IDEA
I had a somewhat irate member of the public call me up and when I said I won’t sell this size of dog as a FAMILY dog – got more than irritated with me and I was told MY YOUNGEST CHILD IS 13. It makes no difference, I refuse to sell VARSITY students a teacup dog, huge responsibility, it Is not a family dog, it is a companion dog to its owner and if it does interact to any degree with family it is MINIMAL.
So to want one and tell me I will leave it with my aunt, Mom, the maid is simply NOT ON. So not ideal size of dog to buy for a pet for the entire family as it DOES NOT fall into that bracket of being a FAMILY DOG.
Not an ideal size to buy for a student or someone who in time to come, will go out into the big wide world and earn a living and then what happens to the pooch?
I do understand how the public become CONFUSED by what a teacup dog is, as so many out there claim they breed them and they are anything BUT a teacup sized dog. FAR BIGGER…
I refuse to sell this size of dog to a family because if children are involved, they may have a fatality with that pup and that is not something, I want on my conscience.
BUY the size of dog appropriate for what you need and want, the dog to be in your home and family.
TEACUPS the real deal that is, are NOT family dogs, but a one person dog. VERY hands on to own, ONLY sold to responsible, well informed persons who will go the extra mile.
WE REFUSE TO SELL A genuine tiny PUP AS A FASHION STATEMENT OR STATUS SIMBOL or to uninformed persons. OR IMPULSE BUYERS….
At the end of the day THIS IS A LIFE… not an ornament or a possession but a LIFE
Thank you for your time...
Above: Wake up sleepy head....
ABOVE : Special delivery
Understanding what the word REGISTERED means, to you buying your canine mate..
To own a registered dog does not mean too much, sad to say. As the registering bodies whoever they may be, from the best OR MOST WELL KNOWN IN THE COUNTRY to whatever, the staff that do all the paperwork, registering of pups etc, NEVER see that puppy. They rely on the integrity of the breeder NOTHING else. So to assume you have bought a registered puppy, means you have bought the best of the best MAY NOT BE THE CASE.
IN fact registered dogs will range from REAL PET QUALITY TO SHOW dogs...
The time I imported dogs from the States they already had concerns of the quality of dogs being bred, GOING DOWNHILL, A good few years later, it is now very much in South Africa. Problem we now see is some people are under the impression these breeds sell for PEANUTS because they paid peanuts for their breeding dogs to begin with, which in some instances THE DOGS should never have been sold to be bred with to begin with.
Breeders who breed with quality dogs are not exempt of producing the odd NOT so good pup and that they would know and advise the buyer accordingly. Just because a pup is bred from good bloodlines does not guarantee that pup to be good quality, show quality or breeding quality. NO breeder can see what is behind the dog they own going back generations. Throw backs do happen but they are not booted out here and get minimal done for them because they are not the pick of the litter. They are handled treated and get everything done for them every other pup gets done , no matter how great a quality pup.
I only sell dogs as PETS no matter if they were to be show or breeding quality, I have only ever sold as pets for the last three decades. My pup are sold to forever homes. Not for any form of breeding and not for showing.
One cannot blame most of these breeders as they have never been given guidance they have tried but left to battle on hence what we see going down…
A good quality pup does not sell for peanuts.
Many years back when the GOOD OLD TIMERS were breeding, so many NO more, (NOT ALL ethical EITHER SAD TO SAY, BUT A GOOD FEW BREEDERS BACK THEN TRUSTWORTHY, PROFESSIONAL ETC) (well let me say this about breeders back then MOST great professional etc whIle you did get some who sold dogs that were anything but breeding quality dogs with for example NO SCULL was one of the experiences I had back then, not to mention parted with a real tidy sum for that dog, at that time and NOT to mention one of those breeders that has so much so Say about OTHER BREEDERS and is still breeding TODAY) However back then MOST breeders knew a good quality dog when they saw it, the future breeders could buy from them without being too concerned of purchasing inferior quality pups sold for breeding, as those breeders back then had standards. Back then they graded their pups, today NOT at all or if they do, great to hear. However if it happens, has to be in the minority. Graded their pups as in SHOW, BREEDING, pet quality.
I have never sold the first of my dogs for breeding EVER. So when people want to start breeding approach me which they have done for many years, I cannot say let me show you the ropes, as I do not sell to the first breeder. So most unfair of me, as I would then have to point them in the right direction and in all honesty, no idea which is the right direction.
So many breeders restrict breeding, do not sell for breeding purposes and that is no different to myself, as they have lines they paid good money for which, produce good quality pups..
THEY ALSO share the same concerns I have as sell for breeding, if the person falls on hard times, out goes the dogs, if the person gets too busy with other stuff, out go the dogs, the dog ends up that it is too smal for breeding or does not breed OUT IT GOES, so I would far rather opt for a FOREVER home for my pups than chance them ending going from home to home and then possibly dumped at an animal shelter as they are now passed their sell by date. NO use to anyone anymore and are often given the needle to end their lives….. IT is only people who work at these shelters or volunteer as i did for a good few years a while back, get to see how sad it all is and the real sad thing to see is the pain, fear and look of abadnonmnet in those dogs eyes....
Some breeders do only breed their dogs for a handful of years and pass them on, NOTHING wrong with that, but for those that breed their dogs into the ground then pass them onto someone else - to learn how to breed, someone who fails dismally, as the dog they bought should have been retired from breeding, not sold for breeding. Dog has major complications with breeding in its advanced age, sad situation.
How the first person does not realise a dog has feelings, no different to a human, they bond, they learn to trust, they are intelligent not something to be kicked aside, kicked out as they are no longer the money spinners we thought we were buying to COIN it, big time.
ANYONE believing dog breeding is a MONEY spinning game has to realise it may be for some, POSSIBLY those who have pups born by the dozen and given the minimal to those pups in their lives. Prior to being UP FOR SALE by the dozen, if they are fortunate may be inoculated or maybe not. The same pups that sit with worm issues, as well as a few other UNDESIRABLE intestinal parasites that will in time, give the new owner HEADACHES. OH and vet bills as well.
All I can say speaking from experience it costs the breeder to do right by their pups, so I have no idea how they can sell pups for peanuts in the first place. Or is it that because they do the MINIMAL possible for those pups. Don’t get me wrong but to see what is out there sold as a registered, is really something… PET quality pups should not be registered or if tthey are the pedigree should be marked accordingly PET QUALITY.
Some breeders say they will help newcomers to the fancy but drop them like hot cakes along the line, CAN'T HANDLE COMPETITION, which is not only sad, but tragic, to find oneself trusting of certain people who don’t like you becoming their opposition, so rather opt to slander you, discourage you, attempt to ruin your reputation to make themselves look so much better???? So many of these people would have become the FUTURE QUALITY type breeders, have closed down shop, sterilized their dogs, walked away, because of the situation they have faced, over the last good many years.
Such a shame those that put it out there WE WILL ASSIST YOU decided to withdraw their assistance, dont think this does not go down, such people exist, ???? THEY DO…
To slander someone else and I don’t really care too much for THOSE TYPES or whatever they have to say, AS IF SOMEONE HAS TO GO TO THE LENGTHS THEY GO TO – TO BAD MOUTH others, IT TELLS ONE MASSIVE STORY, YOU ARE A THREAT TO THEM, but for those trying to get places as being a recognized responsible breeder ???? READ ON..
You have to be tough, prepared to keep going and beyond all else be professional and ethical… If you do come across the odd fiction written about yourself, just pat yourself on the back and tell yourself YOU must be doing something right. OR you would be ignored. FULL STOP. Just remember you are only criticized by those that find you MORE than they can handle, a major threat. You just have to hope that the person listening to all the bad mouthing has a mind of their own realises - JEALOUSY when they hear or possibly read it….. i have got to hear so much said about myself over many years, by these BREEDERS it ends up being a laugh you feel like a celebrity.... However the majority of the public see past all of this so are not put off by this sort of questionable behaviour....
The reason you get slandered you do things, THOSE BREEDERS wish they COULD do but can't or won't too much hard work, effort and a major cost to do it all 100% correctly..
HEALTH GUARANTEES to me are a MAJOR PLUS when purchasing your COMPANION dog as that MAY save you thousands in the long run.. Anorther reason we get GOSSIPED ABOUT we sell and always have sold with health guarantees. Follow our lead possibly or maybe not??? However in order to SELL with health guarantees you have to be pretty certain of your blood lines you use in your breeding program. So many out there would have saved so many THOUSANDS of rands at your vet, as to buy a puppy and find it has a liver shunt or whatever else, bad heart, or the pup is overrun with worms AND internal parasites the pup in fact PASSES away !!!! I am not just sayiang this is happens.... INTERNAL PARASITES cause pups to become hypoglycaemic anaemic and a few other things, that compromise its health. You have issues with your puppy, The breeder comes back to you and says SORRY not my problem BUT YOURS, if you get as much as a sorry out of them, most just ignore.
So if you want to buy a pup to show…..
Go to someone who shows and I know you will come back to me and tell me I contacted X Y and Z and the attitude I got, so abrasive, positively rude SORRY that too happens as these people get to deal with SO MUCH from the public.
Most breeders who get repeated enquires from the same person are inclined to be RUDE or possibly this goes down when asked to let them know, when pups are available, which they asked you to do UMMMM was it two years or three years ago, still looking for the ultimate PUP.
OR when will you have pups again, okay will contact you, MONTHS later come back to you, then it is a case of your pups are sold? Already?
If you find someone who says SHOW DOGS, breeding dogs of course we will assist you. Don’t take it as GOSPEL, rather research and then some more.
And again no matter what pet or breeding animal or show animal you are wanting to purchase, HORSE, CAT OR DOG, make sure the person offering the animal to you does in deed SHOW, BREED etc because if they come with this story we don’t show but will sell you a show quality animal and they will advise you how to show!!!! ADVISE YOU HOW TO SHOW…???? But we don’t show…. run for the hills. If they don’t show, why do they offer you something to show in the first place. LEARN THE ROPE’S from those that are willing to teach you… THOSE THAT KNOW WHAT SHOWING IS ALL ABOUT…. those that have the experience...
This article is not meant in a derogatory manner whatsoever. it is only written to advise those out there that are not too informed, as to what can and may very well go down... everyone has to start somewhere, normally at the beginning....
THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME....

Good evening Joyce
I would just like to take the time to thank you, for giving our family so much joy and happiness owning your dogs for the last twenty years. Three pups in this time, I don’t think you realise how much PLEASURE your pups bring into a home and we are witness to that.
Thank you once again, it is so lovely to know you buy a baby of yours, take good care of it and you enjoy many years of a companion ahead. Our second dog from you is now 14 years of age and still going strong and now we have our new baby. We are so thankful.

The teacup PUP and ultimately the adult teacup.
I have owned a teacup yorkie or two for more than three decades of my adult life.
This is the GENUINE teacup dog. These last couple of days I have had enquiries about teacups one person, remarking how she had answered so many adverts for teacups in a FREE ADVERT publication and almost scammed and when it was a breeder, not a teacup dog at all and i told her that would be the last place to look for a quality, specialized sized dog.
We will not sell a teacup pup to the first person unless we are pretty certain that future buyer or buyer is informed as to what a responsibility it is to handle a really small sized pup. It is not an inconvenience for a few weeks BUT A TOTAL LIFESTYLE change. NOT the size of pup you can get bored with caring for. NO such thing as too tired to bother tonight, I need my sleep.
We unfortunately have been told many years back how capable the buyers were, they knew all there was to know, did I think them incapable.??? Well the proof is in the pudding and in some cases YES you proved yourself to be incapable, I sat back and watched you fall.
IT is of no use to make out you owned a genuine tiny if in fact you never have, as that will complicate your life.
However I would not sleep at night if I thought for one second any pups of mine were in the wrong hands. This is a life I put on this earth and not something I willy, nilly place either. The last thing I want is for the first buyer of mine or the first pup of mine to be in the hands of someone that has no idea, it is not worth the emotional stress on the owner or the loss of the pups life either.
SO many of the public come to me saying we want another teacup we have one, or had one and it is one thing to say you had one as that immediately puts my mind at rest, but no point in making out you owned one, if in fact you never have, as then you are not experienced in owning the teacup pup. HENCE I now ask (have done for months) everyone making enquiries as to what they perceive a teacup dog to weigh. IT really is mind boggling to hear what is said.
As I have said repeatedly owning a real mice sized dog is no walk in the park, it means total commitment, it is not a pup or dog you can decide today is the day you are going to go all out or today, is the day I do my own thing and the pup or dog gets on with it. ITSELF.
NO teacup dogs will run all over the beach, jog with its owner, a proper teacup dog is a real baby in the household. If you walk your dog, fine to a degree but if it is a teacup good chance you will carry that dog all over the show.
This last week I had a lady enquire about teacups and when I went into the details, she said she had no idea, she had no idea if you don’t follow through you can actually lose your puppy because of not doing what you should be doing.
The reason I am very cautious who I entrust this size of pup to as many years ago I had a few folk who claimed they knew it all and did not. IF we hear a pup of ours has paaed, I don’t take the word of the owner, or their vet, I insist on a full laboratory report carried out on that deceased pup and then we know exactly what is for what. THE RESULTS HAVE NEVER COME BACK that the pup has passed as a result of the breeding of that pup. NEVER. I cannot say it never will, but we don’t interbreed, never have and no intention of interbreeding. Our tinies are bred as nature intended NOT manipulated by me, the reason we can and do sell with health guarantees.
THE Teacup has a bad reputation and this results first and foremost from the public underestimating what it takes to raise that pup and secondly if you buy a badly bred pup or a sickly pup no matter the experience you have or the vet you use has, STATE of the art as so many these days are, NOTHING is going to change the outcome.
You cannot expect to purchase a teacup dog, the real deal for peanuts either, it is time consuming to raise them, to raise them properly and that is where the price originates from.
I would far rather keep a real tiny pup than pass it on to an ill-informed owner or someone who has no idea what it takes to raise that tiny scrap.
We expect all our pups irrespective of their size to live well into their teenage years, having lived a healthy, quality life. AND THEY DO. This however does not go down if the owner is just a dog owner, this only will go down if the owner goes that extra mile and does what is required to do for a dog in their care.
It is so heart warming when I get enquiries from people who bought dogs from me 16, 18 and more years back and in some instances, the dog is still very much alive.
MUSIC TO MY EARS.
If a dog in your life in your home, is just that A DOG, don’t buy a tiny as it simply will not survive, owning the ultimate tiny is for the GENUINE animal loving owner, who nothing is too much trouble for, that getting up all hours of the night, is no issue, to ensure the pup is fed and watered.
Our intention is to inform the public of what it takes to own a GENUINE teacup dog, not something that is tagged as a teacup that is not a teacup. We take pride in the fact that a good many folk out there have owned - do own, really tiny dogs of ours both in SA and abroad and the dog is in the right hands, the reason they have the dog for all those years in the first place.
Thank you for your time………
Above a pic of one of our babies in her new home, living the life with big sister in DURBAN. Thanks
for the pic Mirella, OUR PUPS leave us fully socialised, HOWEVER, the owner has to have their dogs in check
and clearly this is the situation above. Mirella is also the proud owner of a yorkshire terrier she bought from MIJOY some years ago.

Teacup breeding pair????
One question I am asked reasonably often, what weight are your breeding pair of teacup dogs????
OR when are you expecting your next LITTER OF TEACUP pups to be born?????
NO SUCH THING EXISTS, genuine teacups are far too tiny to breed with or breed from and no such thing exists as a teacup litter of pups.
IF you are told this goes down, let whoever is giving you this information get it RECORDED in the GUINESS BOOK OF RECORDS,

Sterilizing your dog, did you know….. or should I rather say DO YOU KNOW....
I had an enquiry this afternoon 19 June 2021 from a Gentlemen asking me if I would be interested in using his dog for stud, sent me a copy of the pedigree etc.
He thanked me for my input and maybe you too will thank me for the information I am about to share with you regarding sterilizing your dogs, cats….
So many of the public out there are not aware, or not informed by their breeder of choice that the pup they purchased for PET purposes should indeed be sterilized.
The healthiest animal is a sterilized animal, cat, dog etc. the health risks once sterilized, are removed from the equation.
The info below refers to dogs. Cats I am not sure if they have similar health issues if unaltered, but the population explosion with cats worldwide, should make it a MUST to sterilize all felines kept as pets.
DOGS
Males unsterilized in older age may present with prostrate issues, infections, cancer etc,
Dogs with one or both retained testicles must be seen by a vet to remove both or either testicle retained, as that is more than likely going to become a cancer issue in later life.
Males – unsterilized are always going to have the urge to lift their legs, the reason some folk will not have a male near their homes and this is in fact so unnecessary, as if a male is sterilized as a pup 6 months of age, the likelihood of this going down is almost zero. BEFORE you say but we have JACK, TOM, Joe, been there done that and one of them continues to lift his leg. You then have to look at the bigger picture.
What age was the dog neutered, OR is there any other factors that could be influencing this bad habit in the dog, for example UNSTERILISED BITCHES. So many people think fix the one NOT the other then we have no problem. As long as you have either sex not sterilized you could sit with a problem.
MALES if your boy gets out that gate and don’t say WILL NEVER HAPPEN TO ME, it does and it can happen and it is not always the casual, could not care less type owner, it happens to either.
All it will take is your boy to show attitude to another male dog and he could end up DEAD, or seriously injured, no over dramatisation on my part either, happens and happens religiously and often happens when the unaltered boy, goes with his owner to visit family or friends, meets up with a dog or dogs he has grown up with known since a puppy and now they are a threat to this particular dog coming into their territory and they attack and DON’T SAY IT DOES NOT HAPPEN, WILL NEVER HAPPEN, IT HAPPENS. Don’t put your dog at risk.
Another thing so many people say oh it is so unnecessary so painful etc, it is not painful, but necessary, it may be more of an issue with recovery when the dog is older but pups, they get over it in a blink of an eye. Most, same day are over it did not realise anything went down. Really small sized dogs NO reason not to sterilize.
There is of course a cost involved to sterilize your animal, but that cost is minimal when you may one day, have to have your dog taken to your vet to be put back together because of being mauled by another dog or worse KILLED by another dog..
FEMALES, from the bitches, first heat females are at risk of pyometra which is a uterus infection, two types, one you are going to notice being a very messy discharge coming from the vulva and another type, the closed version you may have no idea of going down till your dog is seriously not well and sometimes even deceased.
Unsterilised females are at risk of mammary cancer and growths in the uterus so don’t be too sure you won’t sit with an issue with an unsterilized female. Once your female is no youngster anymore age wise, having any major infection puts her at a major risk of passing on during surgery. However if she sits with a pyometra it is either going to be surgery or death, you wont have the choice then.
This article is meant to help the public with their knowledge of making the right decision, being an informed dog owner. I hope it helps.
Recently I was advised by one of my puppy owners their vet in the CAPE advised against early sterilization, his reason being it can affect a pups development.
I am no vet, but from my own experience over a good few years, a pup sterilized at 6 months of age, such as the Yorkshire terrier or Biewer Terrier or any toy or small breed for that matter, should not sit with the first issue from having been sterilized at 6 months of age.
Giant breed dogs, possibly as they continue to grow for months after the toy breed has stopped growing and early sterilization of a GIANT DANE for example may cause developmental issues in later life, however that is something you should discuss with your trusted veterinarian.
However very early sterilization at 8 to 10 weeks can cause issues with the toy breeds, from the point of view of poor coat development as a mature dog or as I am aware of, from one person I know, the dog needing a replacement hormone given monthly for the rest of her life, as very early sterilisation at around 10 weeks of age has resulted in her losing her coat down the line as a mature dog.
Ask your vet his or her opinion, but from my own experience over a good many years, I have never sat with the first issue sterilizing any dog male or female at 6 months of age.
All pups we sell are sold STRICTLY as pets not for any form of breeding at all, sold with a contract, sterilization at 6 months of age NOT NEGOTIABLE. We have NEVER sold the first pup in thirty years for any form of breeding which would include one litter of pups, or a male offered to anyone interested in producing PUPS.
As for those people who have the attitude of, you don’t sterilise your dogs, you have no right to tell me to sterilise mine. WELL all I can say is rather go to someone who does not have the well being of their pups at heart. You came to me for a pup, knowing full well the terms and conditions I have in place and had in place for 30 years. If you are not the type of person who wants to do right by your puppy, opt for a backyard breeder for example, I prefer to place my pups in animal loving and animal caring homes. PLEASE MOVE ON.
