RESPONSE FROM A READER REGARDING A LETTER FROM LAST MONTHS NEWSLETTER:

Corlia writes:

On the topic of allergies, it is a long and heavy road until you know what it is.   After months and months with Bibi scratching, blood tests, injections, etc. we by pure luck find the one thing she is most allergic too, apart from all the other things, like cats, feathers, etc. which the injections worked for.

We went on leave to the coast and I took my own goose feather duvet with, we ate all the normal things (just too much of it) and Bibi was fine,  No scratching at all.  On our return home it started all over again.  We sat down and ruled everything out that was the same as at home and then realised its tobacco smoke.  While on holiday we always had our meals at an open air restaurant where there were very few people smoking or none at all.  Back home we regularly (4 to 6 nights a week) go to either one of 3 restaurants in the area that allow Bibi in and there are always a lot of people smoking.  We now changed our routine and Bibi is a happy, healthy and scratch free little angel.

THANK YOU  Corlia,  We appreciate your input, we regularly get information and comments from you, it is people like yourself that make this newsletter what it is. Thanks again……
